The Realms of WoW: Classic lie in dying - what can help?
2 years after release Es wow: Classic is not so good. There are many reasons — but above all, the game ship is too divided.
When World of Warcraft: Classic was announced a few years ago, the joy of the fans was huge. Finally, to be able to immerse yourself again in the original Zeroth was a long-cherished wish that had no longer possible since the enlargement Cataclysm or could only be fulfilled on illegal private servers.
But now, 2 years after the release of Wow: Classic is not much left of the joy. The original Classic Realms are ghost-realms in most cases.
What is the problem? In the Subreddit of WOW Classic has been talked about the state of WoW Classic for a while, and especially the Realms of the Classic era. The players are largely disappeared. If you take a look at the Realm utilization of the Classic era Realms, then it becomes clear: Almost all have fallen to low (via Worldofwarcraft.com). It is becoming increasingly rare that one encounters other games. This is a core of MMORPG experience in danger.
The Reddit user Darkfirex34 published two screenshots in order to clearly clear the discrepancy. It shows the Realm Benediction — once at Christmas 2019 and once at Christmas 2021.
While 2 years ago the city of Grammar was still full of players who celebrated together was the capital of the Horde 2021 quasi completely empty.
Several games divide the camshaft: One of the biggest problems is likely that the games shank in World of Warcraft is always further fragmented. Not only do the players share between Retail WoW (Shadow lands) and Classic. No, the Classic players are also divided into Classic, Burning Crusade Classic and Season of the Championship.
The end result is clear here: the pure WoW: Classic is the loser, because it could not hold his players who instead broke up to other adventures.
What could be done by the community for weeks and months: Blizzard, puts the realms together! Many players are sorry to walk around empty cities — which ultimately reduces the game fun and pay the numbers The active player is increasingly driving in the cellar. Solutions are above all two:
Merging the Realms. Several realms and their active players should merge for a new realm. Free server transfers with which the remaining players can escape from dead realms.
Both maybe would not be the perfect measures, but would create enough time to think about a long-term solution.
Because how WoW: Classic is currently set up in the Classic era, there is fun game fun with an active community only on a fraction of the realms — and this selection is smaller week for week.
Do you play Wow: Classic still in the Classic era? Or are you in TBC: Classic or the season of the championship?
